CHHS Defeats Carroll

Harrison Reeves' complete game effort on the mound led the Trojans to a 9-4 victory over area foe Carroll. Reeves was credited with his fourth win of the season and second in area play by striking out one and allowing three earned. After allowing one run in the first, the Trojans struck for three runs in the third. Tripp Blackmon hit a triple and was driven in by Jalin Lawson. Later in the inning Joey Denison drove in courtesy runner Michael Thomas, then Denison scored on a wild pitch. The score remained 3-1 until the fifth when the CHHS bats erupted for five runs. Gregory Barnette's two run double and Michael Fox's two RBI single were the big hits in the inning. Blackmon added an insurance run in the seventh by driving in Fox with a single.

CHHS returns to action Friday at home in a doubleheader against Carroll.
