CHHS opened the FCA Jason Armstrong Memorial Tournament with an 11-0 victory over Montgomery Academy at historic Paterson Field in Montgomery. Jalin Lawson went the distance on the mound for the shutout, striking out nine. Offensively, Michael Fox was 2-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Greg Barnette and Chase Smartt each went 2-3. Barnette drive in one run and Smartt drove in two. Luke Hastings finished 2-2 with three RBI and a run scored.
Tournament play continues for the Trojans Thursday against LAMP at Paterson Field.
