CHHS is ranked as the #9 team in 5A in Alabama according to the Alabama Sports Writers Association. This marks the 31st consecutive poll in which the Trojans were ranked, dating back to the first poll of the 2007 season. Rehobeth and Eufaula are also ranked and receiving votes, respectively, putting three of the four teams in area 3 in the poll. Russell County is currently ranked #1.
Opponents of the Trojans that are currently ranked or receiving votes in their respective polls are: Smiths Station, Rehobeth, Demopolis, Eufaula, Alabama Christian, Trinity, G.W. Long, and Providence Christian.
